Colt, Les Ulis Data Centre – Paris

Prime ES have been selected by ESG to provide specialist Commissioning Management services to their expanding European data centre solutions division.

 

Prime commenced onsite in Paris in December 2016, supplying bi-lingual Commissioning Management support to ESG’s project delivery team.

 

Les Ulis is Colt’s flagship Paris Data Centre; it is a Modular built facility with a total power provision of 20MVA. Incoming power is generator backed and decentralised N+N static UPS support to the Data Modules. The Data Modules are supplied by two independent 2 MVA electrical feeds (A&B).

Telehouse TN2 Data Centre

Prime ES were appointed by main contractor Mace in September 2016 as Commissioning Management support to their Canary Wharf TN2 Data Centre project.

Telehouse North is an advanced colocation data centre.

  • The world’s first multi storey adiabatic cooling system
  • 8 x Generators with N +1 redundancy with a total capacity of 18.5MW

 

 

Bart’s Square Phase 1 – London EC1

Prime ES were appointed by main contractor Carillion in March 2016 as Commissioning Managers to Phase 1 of this prestigious development.

Bart’s Square Phase 1 is a residential development within the City of London consisting of 144 units plus retail space and landlords shell & core infrastructure. A resident’s amenity area is included with a screening room for 20 people, a bar/lounge and a private dining/meeting room. There is provision for car parking and bicycle storage at lower ground level.

Heating & Cooling to each apartment is via HIUs & CIUs within individual MEP cupboards. Features include;

  • Thermostatically controlled under floor heating to all rooms
  • Apartments ventilated by heat recovery units
  • Comfort cooling with fan coil units to living rooms and all bedrooms
  • Energy metering
  • Full KNX home automation
  • Apartments & Landlords Areas protected by sprinkler system
  • Life safety systems backed-up by Standby Generator

Primary District Heating & Cooling is provided by Citigen. Secondary LTHW & CHW distribution systems are included within the base-build for adoption by Citigen at handover.

 

The development is comprised of 7 blocks over two basements, built and commissioned for sectional handover.

Telecity 6-7 Harbour Exchange - London Docklands

Prime Commissioning Management Services to Phase 2 Telecity Data Centre expansion:

 

Levels 3 and 4 fit out as data hall, plus associated additional M&E plant at roof level and within

adjacent energy centre.

  • Designed as a Tier 3 data centre, delivering high levels of resiliency and redundancy

iO Modular Data Centre - Slough

Client: iO

Date of completion: July 2015

In November 2014 Prime were appointed Commissioning Managers to North American Data Centre specialist IO for their new Slough-based facility. Following successful completion and handover of Phase 1, Prime were retained to manage the commisioning of further expansion at the facility

The Data Centre uses the first international deployment of BASELAYER's advanced ECO modules using outside air cooling, backed by traditional chilled water technology.

This 10,405 sq m colocation site is provided with 20 MVA of core power infrastructure (Phase1). Power backup is via 2.5MVA Caterpillar diesel generators (Up to 7 Units) + Modular UPS deployment in 1.3 MVA increments.

IO runs five other facilities worldwide including, Singapore, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Ohio and New Jersey. This is their second modular Data Centre outside of North America, following Singapore in 2013.

AWE Project Phoenix - Berkshire

Prime were appointed commissioning managers in October 2013 by SES for this £12.5m MEP contract package. Project Phoenix is a new Conventional Manufacturing Facility for AWE at their Burghfield site. The facility provides 8000 sq m of integrated climate controlled floor space. Following rigorus testing & inspection in conjunction with AWE engineers, the project was successfully handed over in January 2015

 

 

South Hampstead High School- London

The Royal London Hospital provides district general hospital services for the City and Tower Hamlets and specialist tertiary care services for patients from across London and beyond. Britain’s biggest new hospital includes London’s leading trauma and emergency care centre, one of Europe’s largest renal services and one of the UK's biggest paediatric services, provided within a dedicated Women and Children’s Hospital, with London’s Air Ambulance, operating from the top of the new building.

Prime were appointed to the project by Skanska to provide commissioning consultancy and validation services. These included providing a design peer review, the commissioning strategy, commissioning programme and real-time trade contractor progress monitoring & reporting,, commissionability review of all systems and the validation and acceptance of final commissioning results.

Data City Exchange - Birmingham

Data City Exchange Birmingham Campus provides 110,000 square feet of high security, modular data centre space based on its own Evo-POD data centre design.

  • EVO-PODs designed to the Uptime Institutes Tier 3 standard and ASHRAE 2011 Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments Class A1

  • Chilled/condenser water system inc. 80,000 litres buffer vessel integrated within the chilled water system

Harrison Varma's View Road development consists of two new build residential developments situated in Highgate North London, each with a market value £25m. Each home is built to a high specification comprising cinema rooms, games rooms, swimming pools, staff quarters, plant rooms, primary living rooms and bedrooms with en-suites and dressing rooms divided over four floors. Prime were appointed Commissioning Managers on behalf of the developer Harrison Varma.

Design features;-

  • Concealed comfort cooling and heating VRF system with MVHR
  • All occupied areas fitted with electric under floor heating, including wet areas i.e. bathrooms / toilets on 1st & 2nd Floors. Ground Floors and Basement served by LTHW Under Floor Heating

Oracle Apartments - Hampstead, London

The Oracle Apartments consist of seven high-end residential homes with secure underground parking situated on prestigious West Heath Road Hampstead. Prime were appointed Commissioning Managers on behalf of the developer Harrison Varma.

  • All occupied areas fitted with electric under floor warming, including wet areas i.e. bathrooms / toilets
  • All hot water provided via LTHW heat exchangers served from CHP Unit and supplemented with centralised Boiler plant

  • Two dedicated 8 person lifts
  • Secure, gated access control system with integrated video entry for pedestrian visitors
  • Infrared CCTV monitoring systems with TV interface

MOD Secure Data Processing Facility

Phase I consitsed of an 8MW £150m secure data processing facility at RAF Wyton, Cambridgeshire, part of the Defence Intelligence modernisation programme. The Prime Team provided Commissioning Management services from design review stage through to Practical Completion

Practical completion was achieved following a long rigorous Integrated Systems Testing regime, designed and managed by Prime

We are proud of our key role on behalf of Skanska in achieving the successful and timely delivery of this important Defence Intelligence facility to the MOD in December 2011

Prime were subsequently retained by Skanska to complete Phase II, Support and Maintenance Facility – successfully handed over to the Ministry of Defence in May 2013

South Place Hotel, London

South Place Hotel is a new boutique hotel constructed at 3 - 4 South Place in the City of London. The building is 10 storeys with 5 floors of hotel rooms with 80 guest rooms in total. Front of house areas comprise entrance foyer, brassiere, bars, function rooms, sauna, steam room, gym and restaurants. Support facilities and plant are provided in the basement with further plant at roof level. Kitchens in the basement, ground, first and seventh floors.

Regents Place - London

This £195m commercial mixed use development is comprised of two commercial office buildings (366,000 ft² grade A office space) sited at the new Triton Street, a residential building on Osnaburgh Street comprised of 154 apartments within a twenty storey tower,  a community theatre (New Diorama Arts Centre) and  7,940 ft² of A3 retail space.
